Calculating the effect of depletion and injection
Use the Depletion/Injection workflow form (1D MODEL > Depletion/Injection > Depletion/Injection) to calculate the pressure changes induced by the depletion and injection processes. You can perform both one and two process depletion/injection operations on this form.
Show Depletion /Injection View
Click Show to open the Depletion/Injection Table form. The form has two sections where you specify the various values for the calculations. You also can access this table directly via 1D MODEL > Depletion/Injection > Depl./Inj. Table. Initially the table is empty. Click the Use default records button to populate the table with the existing zones and their definitions.
Calculate Depletion/Injection Effect
- You can specify three different input definitions for different depletion/injection curves. Select a tab and specify the required input logs for the depletion/injection operation: Shmin, SHmax, and Pore Pressure.
- Go to the Depletion/Injection Settings table and define the depletion and injection values.
- If you want to revert any changes to the coronations or depletion/injection definition and return to the original values, click Use default records.
- Click (Re)Calculate to calculate the results.
- Click Show to open the Depletion/Injection Settings view, which is a Well View containing two tracks.
The log name of each of the three results is listed above the (Re)Calculate button.
The first track displays the input logs next to the resulting depletion/injection calculated logs. The second track displays the associated equivalent mud weight logs.
